Inspirational Quotes I Want to Remember

A Bend in the Road

When we feel we have nothing left to give
And we are sure that the song has ended,
When our day seems over and the shadows fall
And the darkness of night has descended.

Where can we go to find the strength
To valiantly keep on trying?
Where can we find the hand
That will dry the tears that the heart is crying?

There's but one place to go
And that is to God and,
Dropping all pretense and pride,
We can pour out our problem without restraint
And gain strength with Him at our side.

And together we stand at life's crossroads
And view what we think is the end,
But God has a much bigger vision
And He tells us it's only a bend.

For the road goes on and is smoother,
And the pause in the song is a rest,
And the part that's unsung and unfinished
is the sweetest and richest and best.

So rest and relax and grow stronger,
Let go and let God share your load,
Your work is not finished or ended,
You've just come to a bend in the road.

Living Life

Life is not a race - but indeed a journey. Be honest. Work hard. Be choosy. Say "thank you," "I love you" and "great job" to someone each day. Go to church, take time for prayer. The Lord giveth and the Lord taketh. Let your handshake mean more than pen and paper. Love your life and what you've been given, it is not accidental - search for your purpose and do it as best you can. Dreaming does matter. It allows you to become that which you aspire to be, Laugh often. Appreciate the little things in life and enjoy them. Some of the best things really are free. Do not worry, less wrinkles are more becoming. Forgive, it fees the soul. Take time for youself - plan for longevity. Recognize the special people you've been blessed to know. Live for today, enjoy the moment.

Look to the Lighhouse of the Lord

There is no fog so dense,
no night so dark,
no gale so strong,
no mariner so lost
but what its beacon light
can rescue.
It beckons through
the storms of life.
It calls,
"This way to safety;
this way to home."
The lighthouse of the
Lord sends forth signals
readily recognized and
never failing.
