The ability to wait may be a key predictor of future success. This reminds me of a quote on the wall of my best friend: "Happiness is giving up what you want now for what you want most." If we can keep the big picture in mind and remember what we really desire, it makes it easier to put of the short-term gratification right in front of us. This can apply to school, relationships, living a virtuous life, and developing important character traits. Hope you enjoy this video :)

Looking Through Windows
Have we ever been critical of the weaknesses of others? Do we ever judge others without even understanding what they are going through? Maybe when we tend to judge others, it would be better to look at our own issues and work on those instead :)

Make 2012 Great!
Getting a little motivation can help us focus on our goals and figure out how to meet them. I enjoyed listening to Tony Robbins about this, and thought you might too!

Innovative Music
I have been amazed recently about how creative music creation can be. Below are two videos that I loved - the music is beautiful, and the way it was created was so innovative. I wanted to post it so I can see it later. Hope you like it as much as I do. Just goes to show that we don't have to do things in a traditional way to be successful at what we love to do!

The Power of Conformity
Do you think you are susceptible to peer pressure? Do you let others influence what you do, what you think is appropriate, or what you think is right? Watch this video and think about it!
This is benign influence, but the same method is used to get good people to do bad things. Only a strong conviction in what you know is right can keep you from following others because you'll know WHY you do certain things. I've got to teach this to my children :)
